AdminHistoryPeter D Aylmer was born in East London. Between 1973 and 1979 he was a teacher and from 1982-1990 he was an elected representative for Tower Hamlets on the Inner London Education Authority (ILEA). He worked in Education PR in local government, 1988-2000 and for the General Teaching Council for England, 2000-2011.

Peter Aylmer was also Community Groups Liaison Officer for the East End News and served on the Management Committee, October 1980 - December 1981.
