Envelope 9: Photographs of Women's Group Meetings at Poplar Methodist Church Envelope labelled '9' and entitled: 'Womens Meetings? Sister Mary's Society Class Tea (200 Members)' Contains six black and white photographs of groups of ladies seated in church pews and one photograph of ladies seated in a church hall. In the latter photograph the ladies are seated at tables containing tea and cake and Reverend Lax stands amongst them. In some of the other images several of the ladies are accompanied by young children and/or babies. Some of the photographs have pencil calculations/annotations on the reverse so may have been reproduced/used for display at some point. c. 1920-c. 1930
