<dc:title>Envelope 26: Photographs of Children at Events and Outings</dc:title>
  <dc:description>Envelope labelled '26' and entitled:

'Children.
Childrens Meeting in King George's Hall.
Tea Party. Another Tea Part.
Children at Play in the Park.
On the Swings in the Park.'

The last two lines of the text above has the following annotation beside it 'See Poplar Recreation Ground.'

Contains four black and white photographs of groups of children. Three of these are of a decorated hall with groups of children seated at tables and adults lining the sides/back and are labelled 'tea party' on the reverse which appear to date from c. 1950s. The final image is of a group of girls lined up outdoors, some with girl guide uniforms on. This photograph is labelled 'Childrens Outing' and appears to date from c. 1930s. As the envelope title does not match the contents it is probable that there were other photographs originally stored in the envelope which have become separated from it (e.g. the image of the 'childrens meeting in King George's Hall) and also some photographs that were moved (e.g. the children at play in the park images).</dc:description>
