  <dc:description>Envelope labelled 'Poplar Methodist Church Lecture Hall &amp; Vestries' and 'Appointment of New Trustees 1891-1910-1928'. Contains material predominantly relating to the appointment and retirement of Trustees, including memorandums of choice and appointment documents and signed retirement statements from Trustees, dating from the 1890s-1920s and from the 1950s. 

Two other documents were found in the envelope: a letter dated 15 June 1956 to Mr Prower at Poplar Methodist Mission from Lewis W. Taylor &amp; Co. Solictors (regarding the transfer of 1, 2 and 3 Woodstock Road) and a receipt dated 29 March 1957 for payment relating to stamp and form of Memorandum. The receipt was issued by the Methodist Church Department of Chapel Affairs to Reverend W. W. Mason, Poplar. </dc:description>
