<dc:title>Papers of Mr Leon Rogers [MBE JP]</dc:title>
<dc:description>Records primarily relating to Mr. Leon Rogers' involvement with the Half Moon Theatre, Stepney (Alie Street and Mile End Road), during the 1970s-1980s. Mr. Rogers was initially involved as an intern at the Half Moon Theatre and then later became Chair of the Board of Governors. The Half Moon was at the forefront of political theatre in London, and many current day performers started their careers at Alie Street.

The collection also includes some personal accounts written by Mr. Rogers and relating to the Bernhard Baron Settlement and the Brady Clubs.

Please note that Mr. Rogers often abbreviates his first name to 'Lee'. This is evident throughout his papers, in which he is often addressed/referred to as Lee Rogers rather than Leon Rogers.
