Margaret Richardson of 3, Union Place, Jamaica Row, 'near Limehouse Church', widow of Timothy Richardson (formerly of Spring Street, Shadwell), Master Mariner. 2. Joshua Mayhew of Chancery Lane, gent. Recites lease of 19 June 1807 by which Richard Payne [of Shoreditch, gent.] leased no.3, Union Place (abutting Jamaica Row to the north, and 'Mr.Hodge's Back Garden fence' to the west), Limehouse, to Robert Watson [of Pell Place, St.George-in-the-East, builder] for 98 years, rent £3 p.a., and endorsement by which Watson assigned the lease to Timothy Richardson on 22 June 1807. Richardson died 12 Oct.1809 and administration of his estate was granted (P.C.C.) to his widow, Margaret, on 5 Aug. 1814. She now mortgages the same property to raise £100. Witnesses: Thomas Bass of Jamaica Place, Limehouse, painter, and John Wheatstone, clerk to Messrs. Mayhew & Price of Chancery Lane. On dorse: mortgage of 23 Nov.1818 by which Margaret Richardson raises a further £120 (the other £100 being re-paid) by mortgaging the same property to Joshua Mayhew.
