McCarthy Sketchbook A brown sketchbook filled with rough drawings. The book is bound with leather and is approximately thirteen centimetres tall by twenty wide. Unlike the other sketchbooks, the leather in the cover is not supported by a board and is therefore quite flexible. There are a few nudes within, but most of the sketches appear to show the clothed male form. There are no page numbers. As with some of McCarthy's other sketchbooks, this one appears to have some notes pencilled in on the last few pages. These include some scrawled notations of the names of some Second World War ships (Hood, Bismark, Tirpitz, Prince of Wales and Warspite), some addresses and a few miscellaneous calculations.
