McCarthy Sketchbook A small black sketchbook. The book is bound with board and buckram and is approximately eleven centimetres tall by eighteen wide. As with P/MCC/1/7, most of the drawings appear to be rough abstracts and formless doodles, though there are a few nudes and portraits here and there. The pages are not numbered. A a ccutting of a photograph of a man has been pasted onto the inside front cover of the book. The man appears to be of Arabian or African ethnicity. Unlike the preceding sketchbooks there are no purple bookmarks in P/MCC/1/8. Number of Sketches: 70 1963
