McCarthy Sketchbook A very large black sketchbook filled with rough drawings. It is bound with board and leather and is approximately thirty five and a half centimetres tall by twenty seven and a half wide. The sketches inside depict a wide variety of images, including male nudes, religious images and a few rough doodles. There are no page numbers. Several of the pictures in this book appear to be enhanced or redrawn versions of images found in P/MCC/1/17. There is also a pastel coloured image of Pope Gregory with the subtitle 'Gregory the Great Apostle of the English'. Number of Sketches: 67 1983
