McCarthy Sketchbook A very large black sketchbook filled with rough drawings. It is bound with board and leather and is approximately thirty five and a half centimetres tall by twenty seven and a half wide. The sketches inside contain male nudes, general pictures of the male form and a number of examples of cubist drawing. There are no page numbers. There are a large number of cubist sketches in this sketchbook, with their frequency increasing towards the back. One particularly surreal image is entitled 'The Image of the Invisible God', which depicts a bizarre fusion of human limbs and geometric shapes. Number of Sketches: 67 1979-1982
