McCarthy Sketchbook A large black sketchbook. The book is bound with board and leather and is approximately twenty three centimetres tall by eighteen wide. The drawings inside consist almost entirely of male nudes and sketches of men. In addition, the photographs which have become commonplace over the previous few books also make an appearance. There are no page numbers. This appears to be the first book where McCarthy began to truly pursue his passion for drawing the male form. Nearly all of the images are of men or male nudes; there are no pictures of architecture or environments at all. There are also no purple bookmarks in this sketchbook. Number of Sketches: 57 1965
