March 16th Athol his travelling companion, who has been ill for some time, dies. This explains gaps in diary as Greatorex does little travelling in this period.
March 18th Funeral of Athol.
March 22nd Problems with hotel bill. Train to Bologna.
March 24th Visits Grand Square in Bologne and Bridge of Sighs.
March 26th Jouneys to Milan.
