Files re the Spitalfields Community Action Group The Spitalfields Community Action Group was formed at a meeting in June 1974 convened by the Spitalfields Fieldworkers' Group in anticipation of plans for the area being drawn up by the Greater London Council and the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. Its membership was from interested individuals and local community groups. There are two series of files which duplicate each other; I/AVU/A/2/4-6 are Clare Murphy's original files (Clare Murphy was the original secretary of the Group); I/AVU/A/1-2 which contain mainly photocopies, were kept by another member of the Group. 1974-1978
