Accounts Ledger A, 1970-1974 Very large volume containing records about accounts held with J. J. and S. W. Chalk dating from April 1970 - September 1974 and a small amount of loose documentation from 1974. The volume has no title as such, however, the letter 'A' is embossed on the front cover. Inside the front cover there is a typed, undated page entitled 'Invoicing Instructions'. The volume contains an embedded alphabetical index with records arranged alphabetically by account holder name within the index. At the beginning of each alphabetic section there is table with column headings consisting of the the letters 'A'; 'E'; ' I'; 'O'; 'U' and 'Y' and listings re account holders. Each account section includes lists of the account holder's credits and debits to J. J. and S. W. Chalk, arranged in date order. The loose material found within the volume consists of notes and calculations (written on the reverse of correspondence dated January 1974), found within the section for the Greater London Council (GLC) account. 1970-1974
