|AdminHistory||The Ethnic Minority Enterprise Project (EMEP), based in Greatorex Street, was active in the first decade of the 21st century.|
EMEP provided business support services to ethnic minority-led businesses in London, with a particular focus on encouraging individuals to undertake business development in newly emerging sectors. The organisation provided business management advice, targeting specialist sectors such as clothing and design and the restaurant sector. EMEP also supported the development of business networks and associations as a voice for the local business community and significantly improved the Banglatown business district in which it was based through town management initiatives, festivals and branding. EMEP ran the Brick Lane Festival for a number of years.
